There is not much we can do if you have problems with 3rd party
software. As this only is a issue in Chrome you will to report this to
Google.
You could alternative install the chromium-browser package which is an
open source version of chrome packaged and maintained by Ubuntu
developers. If have this problem in the Chromium browser installed from
Ubuntu archives please report back here and change this reports status
back to "new".
