Public bug reported: Binary package hint: kdebase-workspace
It wasn't until today that it was actually possible to start X/KWin using the fglrx driver, due to various issues. However, when it finally started today, it is not possible to start composition (or more correctly, if I start it, it automatically shuts down almost immediately). glxinfo seems to show the proper thing: OpenGL vendor string: ATI Technologies Inc.
