It's with 4x4 Evolution. I had been testing with DirectX and works fine, but way too slow -- around 28fps no matter what I do to increase the rate. Meanwhile, with same hardware but on OpenGL with no vblank sync I could measure 100-130 fps and with vblank drops to 50Hz (lcd refresh rate) and it's the best combo (1152x864, 32bit depth, OpenGL and Sync to VBlank enabled).
Sometimes this bug comes back to haunting. By the wat I couldn't trace it with winedbg+gdb (debugger says the program exited normally). "Inconsistency detected by ld.so: dl-open.c: 221: dl_open_worker: Assertion `_dl_debug_initialize (0, args->nsid)->r_state == RT_CONSISTENT' failed!
