Had a night to sleep on this. Although I am still opposed to the button decision, I would be remiss to not at least give it a shot. So, I will be trying 10.04 with the buttons in the goofy position and after I run it for a while, I will be in a better position to comment/provide constructive feedback. Ubuntu has treated me well for the last 3 years so I can't give up on her yet. :) Might even get my wife to try it out and get her feedback. She is a "normal" non-techy user. I would be interested to see her reaction.
