Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: alsa-utils

The controlls in alsamixer don't work correctly since the upgrade to
Lucid Lynx. Arrow Down doesn't reduce the value, it increases it in
weird steps. Arrow Up also increase the volume but also in weird
inconsistent steps. The only way to control the volume in alsamixer is
by controlling the volume with number keys but there's also a bug for
me. If I press a number the volume goes at first to a random number
above 60 and on the second key press it's at the right volume.
