Public bug reported: This seems to happen on a livecd (tried with netbook-image from April 6 (Lucid)) when I try to log in with a user I created with "adduser --encrypt-home".
Steps to recreate: 1. Create livecd usb with usb creator 2. Boot from usb 3. Create new user with adduser --encrypt-home, for instance adduser --encrypt-home test 4. Logout normal livecd user (ubuntu) and login with user test 5. Login will fail and syslog reports kernel failure ProblemType: KernelOops DistroRelease: Ubuntu 10.04 Package: linux-image-2.6.32-19-generic 2.6.32-19.28 Regression: No Reproducible: No ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.32-19.28-generic 2.6.32.10+drm33.1 Uname: Linux 2.6.32-19-generic i686 AlsaVersion: Advanced Linux Sound Architecture Driver Version 1.0.21.
