Hi, I don't think this bug is defined correctly. I believe its not the hung process that CAUSES the system freeze. Its something in the kernel/scheduler that CAUSES a process to HANG, which then precipitates to the entire system.
So I don't recommend looking at individual programs or services to fix this, rather severe problem. Nor do I think its something in a process that triggers this. Something else is going on system/kernel wide.
