Public bug reported: I have been trying to install the Kubuntu 10.04 Beta 1 from the .iso which I burned to a CD.
I am trying to use an entire drive (an 80 GB WD IDE drive.) I have 9.1 installed on a 750 g SATA drive. It seems to get to 80% of "Checking for packages to install..." when I get the "Installer Crashed" dialog. The textbox in the dialog contains the following details: Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/lib/ubiquity/bin/ubiquity", line 524, in <module> main(oem_config) File "/usr/lib/ubiquity/bin/ubiquity", line 509, in main install(args[0], query=options.query) File "/usr/lib/ubiquity/bin/ubiquity", line 242, in install ret = wizard.run() File "/usr/lib/ubiquity/ubiquity/frontend/kde_ui.py", line 451, in run self.progress_loop() File "/usr/lib/ubiquity/ubiquity/frontend/kde_ui.py", line 847, in progress_loop (ret, realtb)) RuntimeError: Install failed with exit code 1 Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/share/ubiquity/install.py", line 2497, in <module> install.run() File "/usr/share/ubiquity/install.py", line 378, in run self.install_language_packs() File "/usr/share/ubiquity/install.py", line 1276, in install_language_packs self.do_install(self.langpacks) File "/usr/share/ubiquity/install.py", line 1729, in do_install 'ubiquity/install/apt_info') File "/usr/share/ubiquity/install.py", line 112, in __init__ flags = fcntl.fcntl(self.status_stream.fileno(), fcntl.F_GETFL) AttributeError: 'DebconfInstallProgress' object has no attribute 'status_stream' ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Installer Crashed https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/556344 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
