I have been trying to install the Kubuntu 10.04 Beta 1 from the .iso
which I burned to a CD.

I am trying to use an entire drive (an 80 GB WD IDE drive.)  I have 9.1
installed on a 750 g SATA drive.

It seems to get to 80% of "Checking for packages to install..." when I
get the "Installer Crashed" dialog.

The textbox in the dialog contains the following details:
