I haven't been able to get any sound in Ubuntu through several distributions when i connect via an HDMI cable. The machine's dual boot and sound is fine in vista. I had hoped Vista would fix the problem, but I still get no sound, supposedly because of no sound devices. The problem may be that I have too many--the EVGA 630 MOBO and now a ATI combo TV and sound card connecting to the PCI-E port.
