Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: e2fsprogs

In the first automatic check of my 10.4 beta1 the system crashes while
performing the analysis of HD (80%). Start screen (without the possibility of
more information.)
In a boot in recovery mode, to check the disks I get the message "broken link"
(it seems that over a link, which makes me suspect a syntax error in the
scripts of e2fsprogs) on last disk checked (1=root,2=home,3=user data/navigator
cache). Now I try to install and test the static version of the package.
In a boot in recovery mode, this time with jaunty 9.4 distribution, the check
is done without any problem and without reporting any error on the same
partition. [automatic translation]
