Public bug reported: Binary package hint: yakuake
This started to happen after kernel 2.6.31-19 was installed on my Lucid install. So far I have not observed it with earlier kernels, and with the -19 kernel, it happens most of the time. I press F12 (which normally pulls down the yakuake konsole like a Quake console), but instead of seeing the console, the screen changes to only show vertical lines (white and gray it seems), and the only way out is a hard reboot. My system is a recent Dell Studio XPS laptop. I don't know for sure that this is a yakuake bug (equally likely a kernel bug I suppose), but it is the only way to observe it for me.
