Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: software-center

Software Center 1.0.3
Ubuntu 9.10 x86

At the Department View, there is no 'broom' icon to clear the search
box. However, if you click where the broom is supposed to be, the
application list flashes as though you just cleared the search box.

1. Open Software Center
2. Click on the right-most edge of the search box (where the broom would be)

Application list flashes.

What should happen:
Nothing should happen because there's nothing to clear.
