Public bug reported: Binary package hint: software-center
Software Center 1.0.3 Ubuntu 9.10 x86 Desktop I can search for "mail" under "Get Free Software" and can click on "Get Free Software" on the location bar and nothing happens to my query. I can install/remove an application and by clicking on "Get Free Software" I can see that my query persists. However, under "Install Software", if I search for mail and click on "Installed Software" on the location bar, my query is deleted. If I remove an application, my query is deleted. 1. Search "mail" 2. click "Get Free Software" on the location bar. 3. double click and install "Mail Notification" 4. click "Get Free Software" on the location bar. 5. double click and remove "Mail Notification" 6. click "Get Free Software" on the location bar. Query persists in all three cases. 1. Click "Installed Software" on the left-hand Navigation pane. 2. Search for "mail" 3. Click on "Installed Software" on the location bar. Query disappears. 1. Click "Installed Software" on the left-hand Navigation pane. 2. Search for "mail" 3. double click and remove "Mail Notification" (if you don't have it, install it) Query disappears. I assume the "Get Free Software" functionality is what is supposed to happen with "Installed Software" also. ** Affects: software-center (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Search bar inconsistency https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/553734 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
