There are a couple of issues here. If we can't set 0 as a value in
syncdaemon here, it shouldn't ever return 0 as the value when we call
the get methods. No API should ever return a value that it can't accept.
It should specify a behavior that returns a valid value instead of the
invalid one, or raise an error. Please fix the syncdaemon to either
raise the error on get as well, or return a reasonable default value
instead.

We can also change the preferences dialog to have a different minimum
value, and thus disallow 0, but both of these fixes need to be done, not
one or the other. :)
