Binary package hint: gnome-control-center
I use the nvidia drivers from the repository (version 195.36.15).
After I set the compiz effects from None to Normal, compiz starts and
this confirmation window appears where I can choose to Keep The
Settings. After I click this button the window freezes.
Attached are the last 100 lines of a "strace gnome-appearance-
