Ok, there are different issues here.

There are some analogies that are easy, that's fine, not everything has
to be very difficult.

If a verbal analogy is impossible to understand is wrong, since the
player will be unable to provide a valid answer.

I do not know if you have ready this:
http://live.gnome.org/gbrainy/Localizing. You can change an analogy with
a complete different word game to make it work for your language.

Translating English questions has worked so far more than 30 languages.
However, have a way to indicate a separate XML for other languages is a
good idea.
