Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: update-manager

I have tried to update to 10.04 beta using 'update-manager -d'.

During "Setting new software sources" stage upgrader displayed the
following error:

"Could not calculate the upgrade

An unresolvable problem occurred while calculating the upgrade:
E:Error, pkgProblemResolver::Resolve generated breaks, this may be caused by
held packages."

I tried to run 'apt-get dist-upgrade' immediately and got the following
error:

[dotted...@vertex:~]% sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

Manual installation of empathy and empathy-common fixed the problem and upgrade
processed smoothly after restart.
