Public bug reported: Binary package hint: update-manager
In VirtualBox, I had installed Ubuntu 9.10 with no problem. However, when trying to update to the beta of Lucid, it crashed with the following error: b...@ben-ubuntu-1004:~$ sudo update-manager -d [sudo] password for ben: extracting 'lucid.tar.gz' authenticate 'lucid.tar.gz' against 'lucid.tar.gz.gpg' Traceback (most recent call last): File "/tmp/tmp3h0U_N/lucid", line 3, in <module> from DistUpgradeMain import main File "/tmp/tmp3h0U_N/DistUpgradeMain.py", line 25, in <module> from DistUpgradeController import DistUpgradeController File "/tmp/tmp3h0U_N/DistUpgradeController.py", line 50, in <module> from sourceslist import SourcesList, SourceEntry, is_mirror File "/tmp/tmp3h0U_N/sourceslist.py", line 36, in <module> from apt.deprecation import function_deprecated_by ImportError: No module named deprecation ProblemType: Bug Architecture: i386 Date: Fri Mar 26 22:34:33 2010 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.10 Package: update-manager 1:0.126.9 PackageArchitecture: all ProcEnviron: LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.31-20.58-generic SourcePackage: update-manager Uname: Linux 2.6.31-20-generic i686 XsessionErrors: (gnome-settings-daemon:1345): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_propagate_error: assertion `src != NULL' failed (gnome-settings-daemon:1345): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_propagate_error: assertion `src != NULL' failed (nautilus:1402): Eel-CRITICAL **: eel_preferences_get_boolean: assertion `preferences_is_initialized ()' failed (polkit-gnome-authentication-agent-1:1423): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_once_init_leave: assertion `initialization_value != 0' failed ** Affects: update-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-bug i386 -- Can't update to 10.04 beta https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/549292 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
