I removed the nvidia driver and rebooted and now I'm getting a better looking display, however there still appears to be a problem...
1) just before I see the plymouth display, a message on the console appears "mountall: Could not connect to plymouth" after this I see the plymouth display for about 1 second after being taken to the login screen Should I see this delay?
