Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete

Bug description:
I have been running 9.04 on my dell laptop, and when I upgraded to  9.10 My
WiFi would not connect nor could  the computer find the wireless connection. We
have a very bright tech in my local area who checked it out, he is a big Ubuntu
fan and he thought that there was a problem when I loaded the new program
because in black screen many of the packages were  followed by error. ( I
erased and reloaded it 3 times) He also encounted this before and the easiest
solution is to load 9.04 and use that, which I did and it hooked me right up
with WiFi. Since I live in the middle of nowhere and and am served by National
Access it is impossible for me to  download the whole of Ubuntu these are disk
sent to me from Ubuntu. Therefore I donnot believe the disk 9.10 is corrupted
since your records should reflect that it was recently sent. I am happy with
the 9.04 but I was hoping to find out if this is a Ubuntu problem or A Dell ,
or some other problem. Although I
use this computer for the internet  mostly and 9.04 does a great job  for me.
Thank youTeam If you can give me a heads up where to look for a fixes or if you
would like any info  or the disk back please fell free to contact me. Thank all
of the people at Ubuntu it is a great service to us all.
