Scott, there's two ways of solving this:
* For lucid, locally patch our /lib/udev/rules.d/60-cdrom_id.rules to include hd[a-z]. That's what Debian is doing as well, and udisks already supports that. However, it would be our first and only deviation from upstream, so you might not like that? * Add a debian/60-cdrom_id-ide.rules and install it only on powerpc. More packaging involved, but more "explicit", and avoids touching upstream code. I'd go with the latter, unless you have a different preference how to package this? ** Changed in: udev (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => Medium ** Changed in: udev (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => In Progress -- [Lucid powerpc alternate] No common CD-ROM drive was detected. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/534912 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
