I've written a trouble-shooting guide that might help: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1438177 The basic problem described in this bug is fixed, however. usblp is un- blacklisted, /dev/usb/lp0 should be available. Printing probably still won't work by default, but the problem has shifted elsewhere.
