Public bug reported: Hello,
This is a regression. I had Karmic on Asus Eee PC 1005PE and had brightness set at 100%. After upgrading to Lucid Beta 1 I have noticed a darker display. cat /proc/acpi/video/VGA/LCDD/brightness levels: 0 3 6 9 12 16 19 21 24 27 29 30 32 33 34 36 current: 36 Testing it, I figured out that level 30 is the brightest, 32 is off and upper levels are just like the first levels, maybe 36 being equivalent to level 24. $ lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu lucid (development branch) Release: 10.04 $ lspci | grep VGA 00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation N10 Family Integrated Graphics Controller []s, Guilherme Buonfiglio ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- LCD brightness not correct on Asus Eee 1005 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/546494 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
