Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: pulseaudio

I have the Asus Xonar Essence STX audio card, identified as CMI8788
[Oxygen HD Audio], and in the old (Xubuntu 9.10) Alsa mixer, i could
select an "analog output" control to let me choose between speakers,
headphone and front panel headphone.

In the Xubuntu 10.04 beta1, the pulseaudio mixer only has a master
control is available (analog output port is speakers and the headphone
outputs are silent). I managed to change the analog output port by
installing the PulseAudio Manager ('paman' package) which solved the
problem, but I guess most end-users would be lost here.

Hope you can take a look at this.
