Public bug reported: Binary package hint: pulseaudio
I have the Asus Xonar Essence STX audio card, identified as CMI8788 [Oxygen HD Audio], and in the old (Xubuntu 9.10) Alsa mixer, i could select an "analog output" control to let me choose between speakers, headphone and front panel headphone. In the Xubuntu 10.04 beta1, the pulseaudio mixer only has a master control is available (analog output port is speakers and the headphone outputs are silent). I managed to change the analog output port by installing the PulseAudio Manager ('paman' package) which solved the problem, but I guess most end-users would be lost here. Hope you can take a look at this. s...@xubuntu64:~$ cat /proc/asound/cards 0 [STX ]: AV200 - Xonar Essence STX Asus Virtuoso 100 (rev 2) at 0xae00, irq 17 s...@xubuntu64:~$ sudo lspci -nv 5:04.0 0401: 13f6:8788 Subsystem: 1043:835c Flags: bus master, medium devsel, latency 64, IRQ 17 I/O ports at ae00 [size=256] Capabilities: [c0] Power Management version 2 Kernel driver in use: AV200 Kernel modules: snd-virtuoso ** Affects: pulseaudio (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- No "analog output" control in mixer for CMI8788 [Oxygen HD Audio] https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/546467 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
