The tests I was talking about that reported the camera working, were automated tests and they reported the camera as detected. When I did the certification test myself, the "camera/detect" test from checkbox shows this value:
"port 70-85 type : Xvideo, image scaler name : Intel(R) Textured Video" but the tests that check camera/display, camera/still, camera/video they all fail as the camera doesn't work. With the kernels following the 2.6.32-14-generic_2.6.32-14.20_i386 kernel, the "camera/detect" test shows this value: "This is xawtv-3.95.dfsg.1, running on Linux/i686 (2.6.32-15-generic) No protocol specified Error: Can't open display: :0.0" but the camera isn't working. So far I can't find any indication in the test logs that the camera worked at some point. So it may not be a regression. I'll look into it to be sure. -- Webcam doesn't work on HP Mini 1000 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/532983 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
