In other words, in order to achieve a unified framework, make developers
unable to use it, so they will have to use _another_ framework. LOL.
Doesn't that strike you as defying the very goal you were aiming for? :)

The only way you can realistically achieve the above is if all the
applications that can't use notify-osd are not available for Ubuntu. I'm
guessing that's not what you want.

Jokes aside, please, give us a viable alternative. We can't use notify-
osd and you don't want us to use another framework. What SHOULD we do?
