Just try my luck just now. Using system rescue cd to update the system, upgraded new kernel linux-image-2.6.32-17-generic-pae ... after restart, it still hangs.
My other system, IBM x346 works fine, except i can no longer see my console anymore; message is Video Mode not Support.
