So ... I did collect the needed data ... using a 10.04 live system without psb-graphic (only vesa). the brightness key do change the brightness ... but without displaying this nice notifyer window. Also all other (wlan, audio, displayswith) exapt numlock and hibranate ceased functionalaty. This is totaly not satisfactory!!!
