I have exactly the same problem! I am running yaVDR (it's based on Ubuntu 9.10), with lirc 0.8.6, also using the lirc_imon driver. Following Device: Antec Veris Basic (r100 remote control) - authenticates as 15c2:0043 SoundGraph Inc.
I have created this udev-rule to prevent usbhid from loading the device: #Prevent the USBHID driver from loading for the Antec Veris SYSFS{idVendor}=="15c2", SYSFS{idProduct}=="0043", MODE="0666", PROGRAM="/bin/sh -c 'echo -n $id:1.0 >/sys/bus/usb/drivers/usbhid/unbind;\ echo -n $id:1.1 >/sys/bus/usb/drivers/usbhid/unbind'" After booting my system all seems to work fine, can be 10 minutes till 2 hours, then the lircd process hangs and connectionens will be refused. I've noticed that when i am running "ps ax", the stat-column of the lircd process is Ds (Uninterruptible sleep (usually IO)) (normaly it is Ss). When the lircd process gets the Ds status, killing or stopping the lirc- daemon has no effect any more. -- lirc 0.8.6-0ubuntu2 with lirc_imon locks up after a short time https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/483795 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
