Public bug reported: Binary package hint: mountall
When booting Lucid Beta 1, my system hangs with the splash message "Waiting for /tmp [SM]". This message appears to be emitted by mountall. My system has a randomly encrypted /tmp (recreated per boot), configured with the following line in the /etc/crypttab file: dm8-temp /dev/sda8 /dev/urandom tmp I have mountall 2.8, cryptsetup 2:1.1.0~rc2-1ubuntu12, and plymouth 0.8.0~-17 (I used to have a similar problem in Karmic. There mountall would not hang, but it would not mount /tmp, either. That problem went away with the upgrade to cryptsetup 2:1.0.6+20090405.svn49-1ubuntu7.2.) ** Affects: mountall (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- randomly encrypted /tmp hangs mountall https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/544808 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
