Ubuntu better. As Mikko points out it does sound like a hardware issue.
I'm going to mark this bug as incomplete for now. If you come up with
information that shows this is a software issue, feel free to add it to
this report, and change the status back to new.
I'm also going to move this report to the kernel, since if it is not a
hardware issue, it is properly related to the kernel.
