I don't think I have any graphics card related options in the BIOS (AMI with relatively few settings, laptop). I will look it up at next boot.
The normal graphics modes work well as is, since the upgrade to Lucid even with 3D effects, also with xrandr and dual screen, it's only the tty's that are broken.
