I got the latest live CD build a few minutes ago.

I was able to run the "Check CD" option and everything behaved normally.
This is an improvement from the last time I tried this option, when it
ran as it should but nothing appeared on my screen.

Unfortunately, I still can't get the thing to boot on my desktop
computer. I understand now that the "ureadahead" message isn't an error
at all. However, it still gets stuck just after mounting (or trying to
mount) the swap partition. I suspect that the network card has just been
activated, because there is some blinking of the lights on my ethernet
switch.
