Public bug reported: Binary package hint: pulseaudio
Since today (21.March) I have the problem that the volume out of my mainboard sound chip is extremely low. I have to push the volume control of my reciver on 50% to even hear something, normaly it would destroy my ears at this state. Sound level in Ubuntu is on 100%. Yesterday the problem didn't exist. My Headset works as usual, no problems. I am using an up to date Lucid Lynx. Pulseaudio: 1:0.9.22~0.9.21+stable-queue-32-g8478-0ubuntu12 The Audio settings say that my sound chip is a "VT1708/A [Azalia HDAC] (Via High Definition Audio Controller)" ProblemType: Bug AlsaVersion: Advanced Linux Sound Architecture Driver Version 1.0.21.
