I'm running Lucid beta1, but even with Karmic it frequently would disconnect without the Network Manager icon showing it disconnected. I simply reconnect when this happens, but it is rather annoying. It seemed with Jaunty (same Mobile Wireless internet connection as I have now) I didn't have this problem, and it rarely disconnected *period*.
