No, I have not pursued it any further yet. I plan to, but have other
things on my plate. I suspect it's a "poor/nonexistent documentation"
issue rather than an actual bug, but I don't know for sure as I haven't
found good documentation yet!
As for edgy or feisty, no, MEPIS will remain at Dapper (++) until the
next "Long Term Support" release "Gallant Gnu" or whatever it will be
called comes-out.

Thanks,

** Description changed:

  Hi,

- I've setup an encrypted home & swap on my MEPIS/ubuntu system (daper).
+ I've setup an encrypted home & swap on my MEPIS/ubuntu system (dapper).
  Following, basically, the instructions here:
  https://help.ubuntu.com/community/EncryptedFilesystemHowto3

It works fine as long as I type in a password at boot. I'm trying to
use a keyfile on a USB flash drive.

Every time I try to enter:

  # cryptsetup luksAddKey [anything here like /media/sda1] keyfile

  I always get:

Can't open device: /media/sda1 (or whatever)

Same error regardless of device; /dev/hda1, /home, etc.

  Any suggestions?

  Thanks,

  Lance
