Hi Ryan, thank you for everything you do for ubuntu! Unfortunately I cannot give you the output of lspci because I just removed feisty herd 5 to return to dapper (I'm using that computer for my everyday work, so I cannot stay without connectivity until this bug is fixed). Anyway, I remember the device was found and "named", but not recognized as a PCI wifi card. So I wasn't able to use it out-of-the box.
NO I didn't manually installed the drivers/firmwares... Actually I'm expecting them to work out-of-the-box in feisty as it did in dapper and ALL previous ubuntu versions (including warty). Installing those drivers is trivial for people without experience (and maybe with a poor english knowledge) and I think wireless connectivity is a basic requirement for the average user which uses ubuntu on a laptop. Thank you again for your work! I hope this bug will be fixed as soon as possibile (I can't wait to try feisty) :D Greetings from Switzerland Neff 2007/3/7, Ryan Kavanagh <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>: > What is the output of the command: lspci ? > Have you installed the drivers and/or modules required for the card to work? > https://help.ubuntu.com/community/WifiDocs/Driver/acx111 > > ** Changed in: Ubuntu > Assignee: (unassigned) => Ryan Kavanagh > Status: Unconfirmed => Needs Info > > -- > TIACX100 based wireless PCI card not recognized > https://launchpad.net/bugs/90464 > -- TIACX100 based wireless PCI card not recognized https://launchpad.net/bugs/90464 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
