Booted with vga=791 kernel parameter. xorg.conf as attached. Been using this for quite a few hours now. It seems stable, and text console switching also works; without Driver "intel" in xorg.conf, X chose the vesa driver instead. My previous report about text console badness *does not apply* to the intel driver.
