I got a computer from a friend who said it was not working well. As soon as I booted it with Live CD, I got the error of a disk failing. I did a backup, but some of the files were unreadable, even though S.M.A.R.T says the Read Error Rate is 0 (Raw 0x000000000000)
Reallocated sectors = 335 and Pending = 122. Obviously the disk is not O.K, because of the read wailures, but shoudn't the read error rate be higher then? In my case, the palimpsest gives reasonable figures and is working wery fine =) -- palimpsest bad sectors false positive https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/438136 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
