hal does not know anything about this drive: volume.label = '' (string) volume.uuid = '' (string) volume.fsversion = '' (string) volume.fsusage = '' (string) volume.fstype = '' (string) storage.model = '' (string)
Can you actually mount it manually? I. e. does sudo mount /dev/sda1 /mnt work and give you the files in /mnt? (unmount it with 'sudo umount /mnt'). If it fails, what is the output? What does 'sudo blkid' say? ** Changed in: hal (Ubuntu) Sourcepackagename: gnome-mount => hal -- PDA with memory card doesn't mount automatically https://launchpad.net/bugs/89723 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
