Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gedit
Ubuntu 9.10 gedit 2.28.0 Note: This happens when compiz is on or off in normal mode or advanced. How to reproduce: Highlight a bit of text and clicking the scroll wheel at a new location you have scrolled to with the scroll wheel to copy and paste seems to jump back to the original location of the text selected and sometimes pastes where you have just click and other times not. This is also confusing for users who might have scrolled a couples of pages worth of text away from their select location. What I expected: The highlighted text should be pasted at the location I just click after highlighting.
