Public bug reported:

The radiance theme is corrupted from time to time.

The Radiance icons from notification area as well as the window decorations are 
changed to Gnome's default.
If I open System->Preferences->Appearance the things come back to normal.
The behaviour is more frequent at session login. Radiance theme appears to be 
setup then in about 5-10 seconds the display is mangled - as you can see in the 
attached screen capture
