I feel that this bug is a GTK issue. It is certainly possible to create
a workaround in wxWidgets 2.8 for it, but the basic malfunction remains
in the GTK.

We need a fix for wxWidgets 2.6 too.

BTW: Can we compile Code::Blocks with wxWidgets 2.8 ?
