Had they same problem with my DVB-S card HW: AMD X2 4200+ 2 GB RAM nVidia Geforce 7600 GT
DVB-S card: Hauppauge WinTV Nexus-S Using Edgy and Kaffeine it worked really fine 'out-of-the box'. With feisty Kaffeine coulnd't find my DVB-S card.
