Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gdm
Running lucid alpha 3 When the system is booted, gdm does not display. I can hear the bongo sound play which indicates that gdm is at the login prompt. When this happens the screen is black with the mouse pointer in the center of the screen. At the top left corner of the screen is a flashing underline cursor. I can move the mouse but there is nothing to click on. If I press the enter key, a few garbage characters will appear after the cursor in the top left, then the screen will clear and gdm will appear. Repeatable: always Steps to reproduce: 1. Install lucid alpha 3 2. Boot system. ** Affects: gdm (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- GDM does not display when starting https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/533634 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
