Bal, The i8042.debug needs to be done with the mouse that breaks, and needs to include the time period during which the mouse broke.
When the mouse breaks, does it eventually settle if you leave it alone for a few seconds, or does it stay broken until you unplug it? My patches could affect this. I'll send a patch that ignores the interrupt data if there is a timeout. I have no idea what it will do but let's see.
