Public bug reported: Binary package hint: simple-ccsm
If simple-ccsm is installed, it is accessible via System|Preferences|Appearance|Visual Effects|Custom. Therefore, it is not necessary to have simple-ccsm appear as its own entry in the System|Preferences menu. It should be removed. Its presence is redundant and can only confuse the user. In addition, the installation of simple-ccsm should not require that the (non-simple) ccsm be displayed in System|Preferences. For novice users, it's best if there is only one visible way to modify the compiz settings. This can be accomplished either by removing ccsm from the list of simple-ccsm's dependencies, or by suppressing the display of ccsm unless explicitly requested. ** Affects: simple-ccsm (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Simple-ccsm shouldn't appear in System|Preferences https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/531549 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
