I'm not sure I'd oppose removal, but even seeing Debian bugs for a given
package on Ubuntu is useful to me. I run both systems and it's nice to
have an integrated bug lookup. This really is more useful for those
following testing/sid, but is also useful when deciding whether to
install a new package on any system. Ideally it would check a merged
upstream database.

rc-alert from devscripts is similarly handicapped, but still worth
running. It's target audience is developers, and fixing Debian (usually
upstream) on packages you use is certainly nice.
