My nodes don't have [ -f "/etc/eucalyptus/eucalyptus-nc.conf" ], so the publication job isn't starting. This is because the debconf key/value for eucalyptus/cluster-name does not exist on my NC. $ echo GET eucalyptus/cluster-name | sudo debconf-communicate And thus the eucalyptus-nc.postinst isn't able to populate that file.
