I have 2.28.2 and http://www.gnome.org/projects/totem/#codecs gives a list of needed gstreamer plugins, but the names are not the same as in Ubuntu. There is also two that have -bad in them, one from multiverse. You can't have both. Or at least I can't. After going into the synaptic package manager, I cannot include the fluendo demuxer as it conflicts with the -bad plugin.
This is confusing, too: Codecs Totem can display a variety of formats, based on what backend you use. To see what backend you are using check the "About" dialog of Totem. Here is what I get when I do this: See attached screenshot. How does this help? ** Attachment added: "Picture of my About in Totem" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/39965714/Screenshot.png -- totem says it needs plugins to watch TV but neither says what it needs nor offers to get them https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/475721 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
